Stephanie is committed to strengthening the nonprofit sector through education and has dedicated her career to the sector since 2003. She served as an executive director as well as held development and program management roles before founding Stephanie Cory Consulting. She has also consulted for a variety of 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) organizations helping them strengthen governance and work toward sustainability.
Demonstrating her commitment to helping organizations strengthen their governance and employ best practices, Stephanie is a Certified Governance Consultant through BoardSource and a Licensed Consultant through the Standards for Excellence Institute. She has more than 30 years’ cumulative experience as a board member herself for organizations ranging from grassroots with no staff to a multi-million dollar international association. Stephanie authored chapters for the second and third editions of The Handbook of Board Governance published by John Wiley & Sons.
