At Farester Consulting, we believe and are invested fully in the mission and vision of our nonprofit and community-based clients. Our passion lies in helping an organization grow and develop, obtain funding, and live out their mission and vision successfully. We do not view ourselves as just a consultant, we consider ourselves part of the organization. Our services include grant funding searches, grant writing, program evaluation, organizational and board development.

Brian has over 20 years of service with one of the nation’s largest public pension funds as a Regional Administrator. Among other responsibilities, he facilitates meetings in large and small group settings to provide information and educate public school employees about their pension and health care benefits. He also has experience teaching as an adjunct instructor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. He was also a trainer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Keystone Academy for Learning for a variety of leadership and management topics.

Brian is an Iraq war veteran serving in the Army Reserve for 20 years, retiring at the rank of major. Over his military service, his leadership was recognized through the award of the Bronze Star, two Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, Combat Action Badge, and Superior Unit Award.

Brian’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Master of Arts in Employment and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
