Joanna “Jo” Deming, MSW is the founder of Hope & Action Consulting, where she partners with nonprofit leaders to turn vision into reality through strategic planning, governance, and resource development. With over 20 years of experience—including eight as an Executive Director—she has scaled budgets from $100K to $800K+, secured major funding, and shaped policies like Pittsburgh’s Housing Opportunity Fund, while designing strategic plans and DEIB frameworks that empower organizations. A certified nonprofit consultant with degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (MSW) and Hope College (BSW), Jo brings a blend of passion, expertise, and hands-on experience to every project.
